Which Companies Lead The Patent Race For 2008?

Which companies hold the most patents annually?

 

The world?s top ranked U.S. patent winner?s finds IBM at the top of the list again.  IBM was awarded 4186 patents during 2008.  Microsoft, Intel Corp and Hewlett Packard were other leading companies from the United States.  Japanese companies hold five of the top slots for new patents.
