Tom Persons, President and CEO for South Carolina Technology Alliance and Chairman of the Global Trading Consortium hosted more than 35 Chinese Government Official's from the CPC during their recent visit to the Global Trading Consortium and the Global Trading Center in Greenville, South Carolina.  Persons, standing in for GTC Founder Vivian Wong, said, "he was most impressed with the delegations knowledge of our Government and most specifically their comments about how South Carolina was beginning to lead the south in technology and innovation economy."  These delegates are studying US Government at Duke University and made a special trip to Greenville to visit with the leaders of the Global Trading Consortium.  Greenville Mayor Knox White and other officials joined the group for lunch and spoke with them about the Upstate Area and Greenville and the economic opportunities in the regions. 

The delegation leader Mr. Meng Shuchu, Director General for the Central Committee of CPC also Sun Ke, Vice Director of Science and Technology for the Shaanxi Province were told by Persons that they have friends in this part of America and that we were all looking forward to working with them in future in technology, textiles, chemicals and other areas of mutual interest.
